This is the first page of the storyboard. We wanted to give an overview of what sort of thing we wanted to do and what kind of shots we were going to use. We used a variety of different viewpoints and interesting angles to involve the audience and to link our music video to the kind of music videos other artists in the pop R'N'B industry do.
For shot one we wanted to let the audience know what was happening from the very beginning although giving some mystery as to what she wants to see the person about. this would be an extreme close up so that the audience can see the writing on the phone.
The shots are mixed into three different sections, one section in a dance studio for the dance routine, the present day, which is the shot including the artist being introduced and the past where we see the two people arguing showing the audience what they used to be like letting the audience get to know them in a way so that there is more emotional response.
For shot 9 we wanted to use a female gaze to let the audience see the male from her perspective and the same with the 10th shot from a males perspective, this is using the Mulvey theory of the male gaze. We are then shown clips of the past when they are arguing and upset so that the mood is set and the audience know how they are feeling.
