Blog 6. Video Analysis.
I have chosen to analyse a video by Rihanna with her song 'Unfaithful' and a music video by Leona Lewis 'Bleeding Love'. Both of these music videos are of the same genre which are romantic and about love. This is the sort of music that Aundreas Fimbres creates.
My first video clip is 'Unfaithful' by Rihanna.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rp4UwPZfRis&ob=av2e
This music video is very popular with young people and could be put into the sub genre of love.
The song is obviously to do with being unfaithful and this is shown by using flashbacks of their relationship. By doing this the audience can relate to what is happening by showing how she is unfaithful in everyday life and how she hides it. The rest of the music video is Rihanna on a stage singing but her body movements show that she is unhappy with what she has done but she isnt happy with him anymore.
My second video clip is 'Bleeding Love' by Leona Lewis.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EAMUIBKGZfA
We see from the very beginning of this video clip that it is again about love and could be put in that sub genre but i think that the genre that is should be put under more is pop. We see Leona Lewis and a man in two shots in sequence which lets the auidence know that she is singing about this particular man or man in general. There is one part in the clip that she is singing about that before you realise it you are frozen in time. She is in a very busy street when this line is said so that it has more emphasis on the audience and the whole street freezes for about a second apart from her who is still moving. She is always in a busy place, which lets the auidence know that she is feeling alone and lost without her love. There are clips of the man packing up his things, which lets the audience know what is happening.

In most of the video she is in darkness, which could mean that again she is alone and not together with the rest of society. There is also a moment in the video where she is going up the lift and the man is going down the stairs, this says to the audience that they are going seperate ways as this is happening at the same time and could be in the same building.
towards the end of the video we see how both of them are feeling by expressions and movement and we see a shot of the man alone in what was the busy street which is now deserted in the dark with lots of images of Leona Lewis on the billboards, which shows to us that he has her on his mind and that they both want to be together.
Blog 5. Target Audience of Artist/Band.
I found that Aundrea Fimbres is most popular in the USA and on the west coast of Cananda. She is not very well known in the rest of the world, which shows that she hasn't tried to appeal to other countries. This is also true for her former band Danity Kane who were very popluar in the USA and made bill board chart history for their two albums charting number one in the first week of release. Their second album sold 236,000 in its first week.
She is most popular with females in the age groups of 13-34 years olds, mostly because of her songs becuase they are to do with love and romance. This doesn't really appeal to male's as much as female's. In her former band Danity Kane, males might be more of a target audience because the band member's are dressed up in a perogative way and are seen to be 'sexy'.
By viewing some of her songs on youtube.com I can see that she is very popular, one of her songs called 'Damaged' has had 5,501,199 views, which means that she is very popular and well known in America and parts of Cananda as not many people in the rest of the world has heard of her or hasn't caught on.
I have looked on her myspace page and she has 2342840 views and has 49458 friend's. This shows that she is very popular with people on myspace, which is usually young people and other musician's.
I tried to research the readership of this magazine but I couldn't find anything offical but by looking at the magazine and front page i can see that it will probably be aimed at male's ages 18+ because of the car's in the background, which are very male orientated and how the band are dressed.
